Flour is milled on mk2MILL from grains that have been grown with care from natural seeds; free from herbicides, fungicides and synthetic fertilizer. The grains have been grown in Ontario, as close to the mill as possible. The farms are visited to ensure they are aligned with protocols; building healthy soil, respecting and honouring the comprehensive ecology of their farm, within it’s local habitat.
Flour after milling is packaged in kraft [unbleached], paper bags that are made in Quebec. The mill produces own electricity on-site to eliminate the 30% loss of efficiency caused by transmission lines. Flour is aged our f naturally, free from any voluntary additives.
